Blue Chalcedony
I'd like to talk a little about my favorite stone. Although hard to choose, being that I love many, I guess it would be blue chalcedony. Blue Chalcedony is an agate found mostly in Namibia, Turkey and the US.
The color of this stone ranges from light milky blue to blue gray. Some of the bluer and more intense colors, which are my favorites, are achieved by heat treatment. Blue Chalcedony is the gemstone of Nebraska and is believed in folklore to encourage acceptance, light-heartedness and aid in communication.
It is most commonly thought to give physical strength, endurance and beauty to the wearer and to provide protection during political upset and while traveling.
